明星志工队 - Stars For A Cause

I love this program. Its rare that we have such programs aired on our TV.
Everytime I watched the program, it make me feel how small i'am.
The world out there is so huge. There's so much more that I can do.

I dont believe this is just all. I believe in the higher calling.
I must strike harder!

QUOTE OF THE MONTH

""A man can get discouraged many times, but he is not a failure until he begins to blame somebody else and stops trying."

LIFE THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH

Empowering people is the key to building the lives of those around us. Once you empower someone by learning how to motivate and inspire them, they will want to be around and assist you in any way they can. Your decision to empower others will also benefit you because you first chose to serve others before yourself.

There are three types of people that you need to empower on a regular basis. They are, first of all, the people closest to you: your family, your spouse and your children and also your friends. Second are your work relationships: your staff, your co-workers, your peers, your colleagues and even your boss. Third are all the other people that you interact with in your day-to-day life.
So how do we empower people?

Always be positive. Empower means "putting power into," and it can also mean "bringing energy and enthusiasm out of." The first step in empowering people is to refrain from doing anything that disempowers them or reduces their energy and enthusiasm for what they are doing. There are things you can do every single day to empower people and make them feel good about themselves.

Next, satisfy their deepest needs. The deepest need that each person has is for self-esteem, a sense of being important, valuable and worthwhile. Everything that you do in your interactions with others affects their self-esteem in some way. You actually already have an excellent frame of reference to determine the things that you can do to boost the self-esteem and the sense of personal power of those around you. It’s simply giving them what you'd like for yourself.

Finally, express appreciation regularly. Perhaps the simplest way to make another person feel good about themselves is your regular expressions of appreciation for everything that person does for you, be it large or small. Say "thank you" on every occasion.

Thank your spouse for everything that she does for you. Thank your children for their cooperation and support in everything that they do around the house. Thank your friends for the smallest acts of kindnesses. The more you thank other people for doing things for you, the more things those other people will want to do for you.

This is what community is all about. Be a person of influence by empowering those in your world.

In conclusion, here are two things you can do immediately to put these ideas into action.

First, continually look for ways to make people feel more valuable and important. Say things to others that you would like others to say to you.

Second, express appreciation for everything anyone does for you, large or small. Say the words, "thank you" on every occasion.

The Equilibrium Law

There's no free lunch in this world.

You want something; you need to give up something else in return.
This is the law of Equilibrium. Hard work and sacrifices are required. Make up your mind now, what you really want, then pay the price for it.

God is fair. Want something? Work hard for it.
